Script details:
New rights for disabled passengers on ferries should also be applied to buses and coaches – that’s the view of Yorkshire and Humber MEP, Linda McAvan. The European Parliament supported the proposals for free assistance for people with disabilities to be available to passengers both on boats and on buses. But so far European governments are set only to make the rules law for boats and ferries. Linda McAvan says coaches and buses should not be allowed to discriminate against disabled passengers.
