Script details:
The ticket price might seem like good value, but when you get to the end of booking your holiday flights some find a nasty surprise in add-on credit card fees. Well Yorkshire and Humber MEP, Linda McAvan, thinks that’s something the EU should investigate. The picture varies between the airlines, but some charge extra per leg and per passenger, even when passengers are only making one booking. Linda McAvan says that credit cards on the one hand offer better protection if, for example, an airline goes bust. But on the other hand passengers face “unacceptable” booking fees.
