Genetically modified crops could be grown in Wales – that’s the fear of Welsh MEP, Jill Evans. Last week the European Commission gave the go ahead for genetically modified potatoes to be grown in Europe. But the government would also need to give its consent before planting could begin here. Yesterday Jill Evans took part in a protest in the European Parliament against GM. She says people just don’t want GM crops in Wales. |
