A Scottish MEP says action needs to be taken to stop airlines adding unfairly high credit card charges to bookings. The EU is currently considering how it can boost consumer protection laws. Labour MEP for Scotland, Catherine Stihler, says some companies are charging per passenger and per leg of the journey for just one transaction. And she wants that addressed. She is worried that families going on holiday, as well as regular travellers are being hit by the fees. |
