People should be able to demand Welsh “as a right” (3 of 4)

Of interest to:

Script details:
The cost of providing Welsh translations is worthwhile, says language expert, Cefin Campbell. He was speaking at a conference in the European Parliament yesterday where Welsh was simulanteously translated for the first time. Plaid MEP, Jill Evans, is pushing for Welsh to become an official EU language. And back home, the Assembly also wants to beef up the use of Welsh. But some say that puts too heavy a financial burden on business. Cefin Campbell dismisses that argument. He says the cost is far outweighed by the benefits.
